Owers House is located in Feock, Cornwall overlooking the beautiful Fal estuary and was completed late 2014. The property is a two storey, four bedroomed house and has been designed as two wings, splitting the house into two distinctive elements. A bedroom/study sits along the contours, and a living wing runs against the slope, a bridge provides access into a glazed hallway between these two forms. The living room wing projects out into the site in a dramatic cantilever above the sloping site, so the living room gains fabulous views across the estuary. John Pardey Architects (JPA) were the designers behind the project, with Momentum as the Structural Engineers and Quantity Surveryors Ed Crossley & Associates. Since its completion, the project has gone on to win a RIBA South West award 2016 for the design of the home. The project was shortlisted along with 15 other projects after a total of 49 nominations were received.
