Luxury homes don't come much better than this! Set in extensive grounds overlooking the Truro River, Trevaster looks like it could have been there for a century or morebut is in fact a new timber-framed dwelling built by P Chapman Construction.
The property was designed by A-Tec Design of Truro, and was constructed as the family home for a very knowledgeable client with involvement in property development. The client's background and experience meant that a true partnership approach to the project was always the way to go.
Notable features outside include the chimney, reminiscent of the local Cornish mining heritage, a swimming pool and tennis court. Internally, the scale of the rooms is truly impressive, and details such as shadow gaps above the skirtings and massive oak doors, which were hand made on site by Chapman craftspeople, set this property well apart from the average new build.
The kitchen was beautifully hand crafted on site in teak by Chapman joiners, and sports a mix of appliances from a traditional range, to modern offerings from Gagennau. There are various other internal features of interest like the 'look through' fireplace in the wall between two living rooms, serving both areas.
Despite the timeless and traditional look of the finished building, modern energy saving features underpin the design; for example, solar systems serve both the house and heat the swimming pool. The clients report that in the summer it has been possible to heat the pool water to over thirty degrees centigrade using the solar array alone.
All in all, Trevaster is a project to be proud of for the whole team.
"We would highly recommend P Chapman Construction Ltd to anyone. Their eye for detail is simply amazing!"Clients, Trevaster Project
